I am Miss Maizie and here is my story:<br />
<br />
<b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16903"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16923" style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My mom had been looking at Beagle puppies for sometime on Petfinder and
finally on 4/25/17 she submitted an adoption application on one that she found at
a rescue in southern Missouri. </span></b><br />
<b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16903"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16923" style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Long story short - there was an
approved adoption application for that puppy just that day. </span></b><br />
<br />
<b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16903"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16923" style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">While she was
waiting for this adoption to be finalized, Miss Flea of Jones Natural
Dog Treats fame, had contacted her on Facebook - the question was...did she
know any Beagle owners in Oklahoma because she knew of a Beagle who
needed a new home but at some point it turned into my mom asking more
questions about the the puppy. </span></b><br />
<b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16903"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495333774182_16923" style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Miss Flea shared pictures of the
puppy, then named Lucy. The puppy was up to date on shots, was spayed,
came with food, food bowls, toys, a brush, her crate, flea & tick
treatment and a car harness. </span></b><br />

</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="font-family: sans-serif; overflow-wrap: break-word;">
I'm Lucy and here's my story.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="font-family: sans-serif; overflow-wrap: break-word;">
When my previous owner was no longer able to care for me she posted an ad looking for me a new home. Momma says when she saw my tiny red curls in the photo posted online she fell in love! Unfortunately due to mommas work schedule we could not meet right away. This is the picture momma kept on her desk while waiting till her day off to come meet me. She says I look like a lil teddy bear.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixAAgp4_faND2NYhPMhoslyWfxTvcq0oo1BWQsy6MxuV9fwpAtc5dlJ2uiULm94RC4acoZAI6myfeWcp_A1tuRjNZxMwGeok0C5Z0cUejMLT38Be-F-Ewzd-6Qt7NEhYwirXVatGiomfWw/s1600/lucy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixAAgp4_faND2NYhPMhoslyWfxTvcq0oo1BWQsy6MxuV9fwpAtc5dlJ2uiULm94RC4acoZAI6myfeWcp_A1tuRjNZxMwGeok0C5Z0cUejMLT38Be-F-Ewzd-6Qt7NEhYwirXVatGiomfWw/s400/lucy.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
On March 1, 2017 the day finally came and I got to meet my momma and Doggy Nanny. We all had an instant connection when we met. I got lots of hugs from them both. Momma told my previous owner that she wanted to take me home, gathered up all of my belongings and we set out on a long bye bye ride. I slept most of the way, the scenery was not too interesting to me. Just fields, houses and old farm equipment.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGu3We0G0t22LHvusbG0mTK4AMedniQe1oM6ivJTNZNB1_KcWbvcDZl2enstGN2DMQhIo0U1grQZL2x5me4zYSYan9pgfKr_3g5Xy5cmcCKVzWSpicLa7fAB6yYtJWJtF1DaYgFBdth5rG/s1600/105_8253.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGu3We0G0t22LHvusbG0mTK4AMedniQe1oM6ivJTNZNB1_KcWbvcDZl2enstGN2DMQhIo0U1grQZL2x5me4zYSYan9pgfKr_3g5Xy5cmcCKVzWSpicLa7fAB6yYtJWJtF1DaYgFBdth5rG/s400/105_8253.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When I woke up there were some big surprises in store for me! I big yard to call my own, my very own kitty cat named Jackson (hes got a super fluffy tail that's fun to pull on) and a new doggie fur-iend. Her name is Aunt Gracie and she loves to play my favorite games....chase and bitey face! </div>

<div dir="ltr" style="font-family: sans-serif; overflow-wrap: break-word;">
I would love to share my adventures with everyone</div>

<span style="font-size: x-large;">The
Story of Molly, Belle's Highland Girl</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Well I guess I should
start at what my pawrents think is the beginning of their quest to
find me. (We pups know the true
story though don't we? BOL ) </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">My sister, Penny was very sick and in
the Veterinary hospital for a couple of days before she went OTRB.
It was close to the time for me to be born; my sister would visit me
in my dreams and tell me about my Mom and Dad, and that she thought
I'd be the perfect pup for them. (Yups, I met my sister Penny,
before I was even born) She said they were going to need a pup with
a lot of spunk and determination to help heal their broken hearts.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">After Penny went OTRB, my
folks decided they didn't want another dog. It was simply too
difficult loving a pup for so long and after 14 years they're
gone..(Don't panic, I'm not finished with my story).</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">After a couple of days
they began to notice how quiet the house was. (We Dachshunds love
to talk about anything and everything and we're always on guard
duty). They realized they had to have another little weenie girl.
Their house simply wasn't a home without toenails clicking on the
floors and a dog barking at everything that moved. Mom and Dad
remembered Penny's regular dogtor mentioning the breeder where she'd
gotten her Dachshund, and thus the quest to find me began for my
pawrents.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">It took Mom and Dad about
a week to find my breeder, low and behold I had just been born the
night before. (Remember I told you my now Angel Sister Penny and I
had already had a chat, we decided who my hoomans were going to be.
(It's funny how we pups do these things isn't it?) The lady told my
Mom and Dad she thought she had the perfect puppy for them. She said
she could already tell I was going to a beautiful girl, and that even
at less than 1 day old she knew I had a personality.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt_44XVPnR2N1XWLyV7qwOKd8apkGQz6lonMOXJ7-K5rUAd0xppq3GbX7_k-fuPadpabW2T3tI31S93H1EneYAyYBl-zntgREuMtey5bdduixUyNdTbHVPXxfMSYNc_bsstSYktMTVm49R/s1600/picture+%25232+from+breeder_2_weeks_500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt_44XVPnR2N1XWLyV7qwOKd8apkGQz6lonMOXJ7-K5rUAd0xppq3GbX7_k-fuPadpabW2T3tI31S93H1EneYAyYBl-zntgREuMtey5bdduixUyNdTbHVPXxfMSYNc_bsstSYktMTVm49R/s400/picture+%25232+from+breeder_2_weeks_500.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">The nice lady sent my
folks pictures of me and emails about how I was doing for the first
month of my life. My pawrents made a couple of trips to Pilot Mtn.
to visit me and that's when we all truly fell in love with each
other. From that day forward, I've had my pawrents wrapped around my
little paw, and that's where they've stayed to this very day.</span>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I came to my forever home
on October 31, 2011 my favorite holiday of the year. It's my Mom and
Dad's favorite holiday as well. We celebrate my Gotcha Day ever year
with a trip to Pilot Mtn. where I was born, then we go to the Pet
store and I get a new toy. That night we all watch old horror movies
and the folks eat snacks. I'm always snuggled close by.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpEGsHgy0StvfPiW1sLcwFj0D4NQZ2KM_xM9XAOb64s-QIGpBYkHT-39-X3_9V-G8W0_5JDOyUfATKn8jteWbZG2_rbpNHXgRStBnU_LiBuiK_oKzOO4V9x31ryjR7Hw9E574bienWqamv/s1600/On_my_way_home_500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpEGsHgy0StvfPiW1sLcwFj0D4NQZ2KM_xM9XAOb64s-QIGpBYkHT-39-X3_9V-G8W0_5JDOyUfATKn8jteWbZG2_rbpNHXgRStBnU_LiBuiK_oKzOO4V9x31ryjR7Hw9E574bienWqamv/s400/On_my_way_home_500.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I've never forgotten my
Angel sister Penny and I's dream conversations, and I've taken my
responsibility of taking care of my Mom and Dad very seriously.
Penny and I decided I couldn't be the sweet, docile prissy girl she
had been. That would hurt my folks hearts too much. Everything I
would do would remind them of their girl OTRB. We came up with a
plan that I should be her polar opposite. Yups I'm a wild Tomboy.
Even though I look prissy as can be, I'm, wide open. I love to hunt
and track, the colder and more nasty the weather, the better I like
it. BOL You got mud?, I'm all in it.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Mom never thought she'd
love another dog like she did my Angel sister Penny, and Penny knew
that. That's why she chose me for my Mom and Dad and the reason she
visited me in my dreams and told me I was the perfect girl for her

<span style="font-size: medium;">Mom loves my adventurous
spirit, and began writing stories of some of my escapades,(some real,
some imagined), plus it didn't hurt that I was so photogenic. When
Penny passed away the pawrents realized they didn't have that many
pictures of her. That all changed with me. I'm probably one the
most photographed dogs you'll ever meet. Add to that Mom's
fascination with Photoshop and Photo manipulation and there's the
reason for my being a dog with a blog, and the birth of <b>The Fast and
The Furriest.</b></span></div>

I am a Maltipoo. Although I am only ten pounds, I have a huge heart. I am also very brave. For example, I think nothing of trying to chase away dogs like German Shepherds and Rottweilers if they come too close to my house.
My mother was a big black Poodle and my father was a small white Maltese Terrier. I had two brothers who were black and white, but I am pure white.
I am a lucky dog because I was adopted by my forever family pack when I was just a puppy. They loved me from the first moment they saw me because I couldn’t stop following them around while my brothers just watched. You see, I loved them too!
My forever family was Mimi, Eric and Autumn. Eric and Autumn were 11 and 12 years old and Mimi was their grandmother. The three of them lived in a house with no dogs, so you can imagine how happy they were to find woofy little me.
While I ruffed Eric and Mimi very much, I think that I was closest to Autumn. She had a natural way with animals and we understood each other very well. Autumn taught me not to pick up old chewing gum on the street and eat it. She was patient and kind.
The sad thing is that when I was nearly three years old, Autumn became terribly sick with the rarest form of leukemia in the world. She spent the next four years in and out of the children’s hospital, so I didn’t always get to see her. The first time she went to the hospital she was gone for eight months and she was afraid that I wouldn’t remember her. But when she returned I was so excited to see her that she knew for a fact that I would never forget her, not ever.
Whenever Autumn was in the hospital I would snuggle with Eric and make him feel peaceful and calm. Whenever Autumn was at home I would stick with her and make her feel better. Everyone said I was the best medicine.
That is when I knew in my heart that I am a medicine dog.
Autumn left this world when she was seventeen, but a few days before she crossed the bridge they let me visit her in the hospital. I got to kiss her arm and she knew that I was there. I know that I brought peace and love to her beautiful soul. Someday Autumn and I will be together again.
Our journey with Autumn changed our whole pack. After she left I began to wonder what the purpose of my life might be. Besides being a medicine dog, that is. It couldn’t be just treats and squeaky toys, although those will always be dear to my heart.
Finally I figured out that I need to help the humans to understand members of the animal kingdom. I want to make the world a safer place for the furry, feathered, slithery and waterbound beings of this world. Even if I only make a pawprint of a difference it will be worth it. <br />

Our blog is called "Tiny Paws, Big Adventures," where we focus on two different topics. One is Delilah's anxiety and behavior modification progress. She is a rescue dog that I had transported up from Tennessee, and I think somewhere between poor genetics, lack of socialization as a puppy, and some scary experiences as a stray and in a high kill shelter, she has developed a lot of anxiety and fear. Sometimes it can be a challenge, but we'll never give up!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzPeDszonrl1pUIoHzL25EzZonW1EqSAjadNIn0s2OmE5MGlBmQBUOTJG2BX3WcFifiR-H7WoCUi_wAcdeCrP9jygQfh0XM1aJW1yiBlvVgm9GiC_db_iEKYJc-4cB0GEK2IJfWiQuK6v2/s1600/13406812_10206515849914888_2780244232456607463_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzPeDszonrl1pUIoHzL25EzZonW1EqSAjadNIn0s2OmE5MGlBmQBUOTJG2BX3WcFifiR-H7WoCUi_wAcdeCrP9jygQfh0XM1aJW1yiBlvVgm9GiC_db_iEKYJc-4cB0GEK2IJfWiQuK6v2/s400/13406812_10206515849914888_2780244232456607463_n.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
Our other focus is dispelling the myth that "little dogs aren't real dogs" and showing the world that the little guys can have fun too! Delilah and I go on a lot of hiking adventures around the beautiful state of Vermont and dabble in dog sports- agility, barn hunt, trick training. She can do anything a big dog can do!

His new family had a bad experience with a mean man so they went to a shelter to look around.<br />
There were lots of dogs and cats up for adoption. They walked around and found a cute black pitty. They both fell in love with him right away! How could they not right?<br />

My precious Marley went to the Rainbow Bridge January 21 in New Delhi, India after being with me for 12 years. He was 15. I adopted him in China at age three. He left a huge hole in my heart. I just moved back to FL to help care for my aging parents. It is a major adjustment, almost worse than cultural adjustments when I moved to China. I prayed for a dog that needed me. I began the search the very night arrived back in the USA. I looked on all the dachshund rescue sites and pages, Pet finder, and many others. I was looking for a mini dachshund so that he would not be too heavy for my parent's laps, or for them to pick up. I ruled out senior dogs and dogs with major health issues as emotionally, I am just not in a place to handle that.<br />
<br />
I found Teddy on rescue me.org. A mix. Hmmmm. I fell in love with the scruffy face in his picture, but just wasn't sure about a dog already in his second home since the brewer's. He was in the first home for five months and the second only three. They could not keep up with his grooming needs, or the level of attention he required. They had three pit bulls as well.
I drove about an hour away to meet him. He was very shy, but before we left he let me pet him. I gasped when I saw him. He is even cuter in person.
As we had my dog nephews visiting me, I didn't bring him home. I looked at 100 more dogs, at least. Teddy had my heart. I couldn't wait to go get him. I made preparations ( like unpack a bazillion suitcases) and drove to get him on March 16.
I am in love. He is just what I need.<br />

ZOOLATRY
is going to the dogs! Here is our newest family member,
DOUGIE DOG. Since our blog began in 2007 we've been known as cat
bloggers ... but now, we are also dog bloggers! When I moved from
Florida to Maryland in 2013 to live with my daughter and her family,
special circumstances would not permit me to bring "the Zoolatry girls"
with me. <br />
<br />
My beautiful Maggy was re-homed in Florida, to always
enjoy her beach breezes and gecko chasing. Little Zoey came to Maryland
to live with a dear friend nearby, so I do see her often and spend time
with her. Having a pet at home, close each and every day has been
missed ~ but no more! Here comes Dougie Dog ... an 18-month old Lab
mix, with about 75-pounds of puppy power, enthusiasm and energy. Full
of fun, playful and super-smart. Learning his lessons well. Except
when it comes to walking, running is really his thing (lots of training
needed on this issue!). Without doubt, my 6-year old grand boy here has
definitely found a new best friend.</div>
<div id="yui_3_16_0_ym18_1_1459454436289_22030" style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">
<br />
From
what little we know, Dougie was abandoned as a young pup at an
industrial dump near Philadelphia, then found and dropped at a kill
shelter. From there, with various injuries likely from fighting for
survival, he was rescued by a Lab lover and transported to Washington,
DC. He made his home with a loving family including two other Labs and a
few kitty cats and was brought back to good health. </div>
<div id="yui_3_16_0_ym18_1_1459454436289_22031" style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">
The
Daddy here had been wanting to adopt a Lab and knew this family, he had
met Dougie and some casual talk began between them, soon turning to
more serious talk about whether they would think of allowing him to be
adopted ... </div>
<div id="yui_3_16_0_ym18_1_1459454436289_22032" style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">
A
few weeks ago Dougie Dog came to visit, a house guest for the weekend.
But unlike most house guests who pack their bags and leave after a
short visit, Dougie has stayed on. And on, and ... and last weekend at
the dog park, his family from before brought some of his old toys and
other things when they came to see how he was getting along. Seems like
everyone (Dougie, too) is kind of in agreement that he might just have
found a new forever home. Think so?</div>
<div id="yui_3_16_0_ym18_1_1459454436289_22034" style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">
So,
when you can, please come on over to ZOOLATRY and give him a big woofie
welcome! And we'd love to join in some of the dog blog hops and
special events, so if you sponsor any of these, please let us know so we
can start to join the fun ... we can be reached by email anytime ... zoolatry at gmail dot com. THANKS! Woof, woof.</div>

My family adopted me just a few months back. I was
found on the side of the road in Tennessee by a nice lady that fosters
dogs. She took me in and reported the situation to a local dog rescue.
My family was interested in purchasing a dog but they didn't want to get a
puppy for various reasons. They settled on getting an adult dog so they
decided to rescue instead. </span></span><span id="yui_3_16_0_1_1457954917004_2418" style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span id="yui_3_16_0_1_1457954917004_2417" style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;">They were looking at small dog breeds but none really suited them. perfectly and luckily, I was available for adoption!</span></span></span><br />

They went through a lot of different names but not a single
one stuck. My mom
suggested the name Lucy and everyone loved it! A few days later they heard
news that I was being loaded onto the truck which would drive me all the
way to my new state. I arrived in about three days and when they drove to
the kennel where I was boarded, the panic set in. My mom was so

They walked into the kennel
office and they got to watch another family get their dog and it almost
made me cry! It was so adorable! The dog was still a puppy but was big
enough to knock the woman over. He jumped into her arms and kept licking
her face. </span></span><br />

My name is Robin Whiskers and I am a 12 year old girl with a passion for animals. I live with two dogs and three cats. I show one of my dogs, a miniature dachshund named Christmas, and I also enjoying going to Petsmart to help out with the adoptable dogs there on the weekends.
Our other dog, Katie, is a sweet senior Beagle/Shepherd mix who is the ideal family pet, and our three cats, the troublesome Cosmo, the agile Phineas, and the plump and lazy Mozzie, are also great to have around.
Though I have no official mission statement, I hope that everyone who follows my blog will enjoy the fun, yet simple aspects to it. You never know what you'll find on Paw Province!

I am originally from the Netherlands but for the past 2 1/2 years I have
lived in Norway. I am a bus driver which I have done for over 16 years now. In
the Netherlands I was a coach driver (tour bus), here in Norway I do public
transport. I write about pretty much anything: from sour milk to lying down in
sheep shit, from the adventures of Miss Oswin (and the four cats that came
before her) to my recent hysterectomy. And yes, I really have blogged about all
those things! </div>

Hewwwwow fellow bloggers!
We're Finn & Charley - two golden retrievers living the doggie
dream. We had been blogging for a few years, took a little break, and
then came back, and we just have to say...WE'VE MISSED BLOGVILLE!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A
little bout us. I, Finn, am the original! I am gonna be five this
year. Momma and Pops adopted me when I was just three months old and
treated me like gold! I went to work every day with Momma, we went out
doggie outing every weekend, we went to the park.<br />
AND THEN...they
adopted Charley....my world shattered. I was no longer the center of
attention!<br />
But I had a new best friend and now we are inseparable. I
love splashing in the water, playing with tennis balls, and just
lounging round outside too. That's where I do some of my bestest
thinking. We live out in the middle of nowhere, the middle of the
woods, on the eastern end of Long Island, so we like to get out into
those woods and sniff around!</div>

I am the little
brother of Finn, but we all know I am really running the show. I might
be a golden, but I hate the water. I do however enjoy stealing
whichever toy Finn is playing with at the moment. Best. Pastime.
Ever. I am turning three in June and have been with Momma and Pops for
two whole years. They can't believe it either. They say I am still a
puppy and have a bet going as to when I will snap put of it, but I think
they are starting to realize that I will be a puppy forever.
Eggggcellent.</div>

After Sarge's mom spent almost 87 hours helping me set up this blog, I
am really excited to post on my own. I don't have any pics yet -- my
lazy Mum has to get out to buy a decent camera -- maybe I can get her
out tomorrow or Wednesday!! Anyway, here goes with more about me and my
Mum:<br />
<br />
Mum is originally from the East End of London , England and came to the
US in 1962. She lived in Cleveland, OH area until 1982 when she moved
to NY and NJ area. In 1999 she moved to Oakdale, CT and then in 2002
she moved here to Tucson, AZ. She got Cody in 2007 and Cody lived with
her until she (Cody) developed cancer in July 2014. The lump progressed
VERY quickly and within two weeks, mum had to make the decision to let
her go to the Bridge.<br />
<br />
I came to live with Mum and her two kitties (Sixpence and Tigger III) a
few days after Cody went to the Bridge. I am a 5 year old lab mix. The
first evening I got here, I got loose and fortunately the gates to the
complex were closed, and some neighbors found me!!!! I got loose a few
more times, but Mum had put Cody's name tag on me, so people knew how to
reach her!!! I don't do it so often now, although I did get loose from
our Dog Park here at the complex a few weeks ago and got into a fight
and got a couple of nasty bites and had to stay in the apartment in
quarantine for 10 days!!! But, as they say -- that is past history
now!!!!<br />
<br />
WELCOME to Blogville Cookie, we hope that you will be happy here and make new friends and most of all have FUN!!!<br />

I just got my own blog and so am new to Blogville. Here's my story so far.<br />
<br />
My momma and daddy already had 2 boy pups, Bacon, a 5 year old Cairn terrier, and Beanie, a 6 year old Scottie-Affenpinscher mix. But...my momma wanted a little girl pup, and that's when she decided to get me. I was born on October 25 (the same day as my brother Bacon).<br />
<br />
All of momma's Facebook pals were waiting excitedly as momma shared all kinds of cute videos and pictures of me from where I was being fostered. My momma even had a puppy shower before she got me and she got all kinds of cute toys and clothes just for me.<br />
<br />
Then, on December 20, momma drove for hours and hours to get me. And I knew that I was loved right away, I was just that irresistible! I even won over her big brothers pretty quickly, I AM the little princess of the house and everybody knows it. You brothers better KEEP in step cuz the princess has ARRIVED!!<br />
<br />
I am looking forward to meeting all of you and making new friends. My new blog..I just call it<br />

My name is Jax. I am new to Blogville. My family had another dog named Nala but she went to the rainbow bridge and the family was really sad bout that. Soon after they got ME!!<br />

I'm currently 2 months old and 10.7 lbs. The rescue organization gave me the name “Mojo,” which happens to rhyme with our hamster’s name, “JoJo! I also have a big sissy named Bailey. I will never get to be as big as Bailey but not too far behind I hope. My birthday is November 19, the DAY AFTER Nala's birthday (November 18) how cool is that??. I also happen to look a little like Bailey.
<br />
Bailey has been good with me, checking out my bed and teaching me stuffs like window watching.<br />

She lives in Idaho with Hazel and Bailey. Here is Mabel's story so far: <br />

My parents didn't really did not think that they would get another puppy this soon. They thought
maybe in the spring time. They had been looking just in case the right one came along.
When their daughter was visiting at Thanksgiving, she did some searching and found
a pug litter in Ontario, Oregon. After looking at pictures of the mom
& dad and the two little girls---- they picked out lil ole ME!! (I was the smaller
of the two) when I was 2 weeks old and they waited 5 weeks for me. Their
original plan was to make the drive to Ontario (300 miles) on Jan 10th. Knowing
that bad weather could become an issue they decided to make the drive on Jan 3rd
when they had a clear weather day. When they got in the car with me, Mom just
smothered me with kisses and they knew right then and there that they had made the right decision
to have me join their family. <br />

I must admit that I am a lil sweetheart and quite a smart
little girl. I have already mastered the ramp up to the bed, with no guidance
from mom and dad....as if...it is really hard!!! I have also mastered the steps up to the deck. I have learned to sit
for my treats after going potty outside and as you can see...I'm doing pretty good in the toy area and I am having a blast with all my
toys. Mom says that I have brought laughter and joy once again into our house. Its a tough job but some doggie has to do it!! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you here in Blogville.<br />

I am 5 yrs old and am a Scottie/Shih Tzu mix. I am very special because I have one ear up and one ear down. I was named Oreo because when I was a puppy I had a white stripe going down my chest in the front and it looked like the frosting in the center of a Oreo cookie, hence the name Oreo. I am from Chicago and in my family in Chicago there are 3 kids. 2 girls, 11 and 14 and a 10 mo old little guy. I have been with my family since I was about 10 weeks old. Life is busy with 3 kids around but I love my family and I would sneak in the girls room to hang out with them.<br />
<br />
My mom Cindy started a daycare in her home and so with that came lots more little kids. They are the types that pull my tail and my ears and I would end up having to be in the kitchen all day by myself for about 12 hrs and Mom Cindy didn't think that it was fair to me plus they all have very busy schedules to get too. So they decided to find me a new home where I could have more attention and would have room to play and run and stuffs like that. I am sure that it was very hard for them to decide this. Mom Cindy talked to 9 other people before finding me just the right home to go to. I got to my new home just a couple days ago and my new family has a<span style="color: red;"> <a href="http://jazzis-world.blogspot.com/p/home.html"><b><span style="color: #cc0000;">BLOG</span></b></a> </span>for me already. So come on over and meet my new family ok?<br />

Riley
is an 8-year-old Pekingese/Poodle mix who loves belly rubs and nice,
long naps. We adopted Riley two years ago from the Humane Society of
North Iowa. His owner had passed away, so he lay shaking in the back of
a cage in the shelter. My husband fell in love with him immediately,
and we took him home a few days later. Since then, Riley has basically
become the love of our life - he is a couch potato and loves to snuggle.
He also has an intense fear of the ice maker and a fierce love of
squeaky toys.</div>

I
decided to start writing Second Chances after volunteering and working
at an animal shelter. I fell in love with rescue, and I wanted to show
the world how important it is to adopt and volunteer. I use the blog
primarily to share animals in need and promote different shelters, but
Riley definitely makes frequent appearances - usually wearing an
adorable sweater or bow tie. :) I have had so much fun blogging so far,
and I've really enjoyed meeting so many wonderfully kind people. The
pet blogging community really is amazing - so supportive and welcoming!</div>

In
addition to working at the Bark Break Hotel, I also am a substitute
paraprofessional in special needs classrooms, and I am on the board of
directors for an up-and-coming Iowa rescue called Wags to Riches. Not
to toot my own horn (okay, a little), but Riley and I recently had a
short article published in the October issue of Dog Fancy magazine!
Just one of the many good things that have happened to us since
adopting Riley. He truly has changed our lives in the best way possible
:) We're so excited to be featured on the Blogville Welcome Wagon and
look forward to "meeting" everyone soon!<br />

Thor
is our mischievous trouble-maker, eating everything that gets in his
way. He is also the snuggliest kitty I've met- he loves to crawl into
peoples' laps and make new friends. I'll never forget the day that a
government worker came to our apartment to ask about my husbands' old
roommate for a background check, and the moment the lady sat on the
couch, Thor went and sat in her lap. I was mortified! Allie, his very
mellow sister, counterbalances all Thor's crazy antics. She is super
cuddly, quiet, and is mellow. She is so gentle and easy-going; Sadie
(our dog) and our foster dogs can go right up to her and nibble on her,
and she doesn't care. I'm amazed by how much personality our feline
friends have! We found these two as tiny kittens on a free Craigslist
ad- we met their "owner" at a parking lot, and brought them home; we've
been loving them up for about 3 1/2 years now!</div>

We
adopted our 3rd pet, Sadie, in December of 2013. She's a Golden
Retriever, and is just over 1 year old. We adopted her from RAGOM
(Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota), who rescued her entire "puppy family"
from a commercial breeder. They made the trek to Minnesota, fostered by
a wonderful woman who cared for the momma and all the pups. We went
over to meet the puppies, and Sadie (then JJ) went and sat in my
husband's lap. We took her home a week later, realizing we couldn't
live without a little "Gold" in our lives. :) Since then, I've been
laughing and smiling while watching this crazy ball of fur grow up. She
is very spunky! I decided to start blogging about her when I realized
that these stories that I tell just couldn't be made up. I told my
co-workers at lunch all the crazy things she's been up to, and watching
them laugh made me think "hmmm, I wonder if people would enjoy reading
this as a blog?" Hence, here we are, blogging about the crazy and
wonderful life of our wee little family!</div>
